Our Mission: The Atlanta Morning Center exists to partner with the local church to provide prenatal through postpartum care to moms in need in the name of Jesus.
Our Vision
That the church lovingly serves those created in the image of God to ensure that neither pregnancy nor childbirth is a death sentence or detrimental to the Health of babies and mothers, so they both may have the opportunity to experience abundant life in Jesus Christ.
Our Milestones and a Brief History
2022
Atlanta Morning Center (ATLMC) strategically identifies locations for future prenatal clinics throughout Metro Atlanta to increase access for pregnant moms who need a little help.
2021
Atlanta Morning Center launches its first community prenatal medical clinic at Crossroads Church of Dunwoody. ATLMC partners with Heirborn Servants to provide transportation for patients/clients in need. Plus, it partners with GBMDM & SWHF to address dental Health.
2020
Atlanta Morning Center commences demo. ATLMC partners with Unite U.S. to expand a referral network so that other community-based organizations may serve callers.
ATLMC partners with Giving Health to provide telehealth services to its patients and households – 24/7 for one year and discounts of up to 80% on Rx.
2019
Georgia Baptist Mission Board identifies Atlanta Morning Center as a strategic partner.
2017
Morning Center hires a National Director with the purpose of national expansion. Morning Center receives tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code effective 05-03-2012.
Atlanta, Georgia, is chosen as the first expansion city. The establishment of the Atlanta Morning Center (ATLMC) begins, and the Center hires an Executive Director on July 24, 2017. ATLMC forms an Advisory Team.
2016
An Exploratory Committee from Atlanta takes a site visit to Memphis, TN, which becomes the Morning Center Atlanta Steering Committee.
2013
Morning Center opens in Memphis to begin serving women.
2012
Memphis, TN, is chosen as the pilot city.
2011
James Lansberry of Samaritan Ministries International founds Morning Center.
Our Patient-Centered Perinatal Services
- Prenatal and postpartum care (including, but not limited to provider visits, routine lab work, and ultrasounds)
- Pregnancy options, exploration, and consultations
- Screening for IPV, abuse, trafficking, and depression
- Prenatal smoking cessation assistance
- Miscarriage management
- Partnering with local hospitals and like-minded private practices as delivery partners for childbirth
- Partnering with doulas and midwives for childbirth education, birthing plans, and birth support
- Lactation education and support
- STI/STD testing and treatment
- Patient education and group classes and appointments
- Screening for high-risk OB. Referrals to maternal-fetal medicine
- Postpartum follow-up care
- Screening for postpartum depression
- Safe haven location
- Compassionate life-affirming care and prayer
- Community referrals
